The laboratory was established in 1998 and is devoted to research and higher studies in topics: Communications Systems, Networks, and Signal Processing. The major topics treated and led to completion of MSc. and PHD theses can be classified as follows:

1. Communication Systems (Theory, Modulation techniques, Performance Evaluation, Channel coders, LDPC,VoIP)

2. Speech Communication (coders, synthesizers, recognizers)
