Fatma Newagy received her BSc. in Electronics and Electrical Communications Engineering, Cairo University in 1998. She received the M.Sc. and PhD, both degrees in Electronics and Electrical Communications Engineering from Cairo University in 2002 and 2008 respectively. During her years of study in Cairo University she was a research assistant in Electronics and Electrical Communications Department. She is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). Dr. Newagy worked as an assistant professor in Cairo University since 2008 till now. Dr. Newagy is adjunct assistant professor in Ain Shams University and American University in Cairo from 2008. She also taught several courses in wireless communications, advanced digital communications and cognitive radio. Dr. Newagy was a member of several research groups. Her current research interest focuses on advanced methods of channel coding, Cognitive radio and 4G mobile communications.
