DiaaEldin Sayed Khalil received his B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communications, from Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt (2000) ranking top of his class, M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communications, from Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt (2004), and Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Northwestern University, Evanston, IL, USA (2008). He worked as Teaching Assistant with the Department of Electronics and Communications, Ain Shams University (2000-2004) and with the Arab Academy for Science and Technology (2003-2004), Research and Teaching Assistant with the EECS department, Northwestern University (2004-2008), Technical Graduate Intern with Circuits Research Lab, Intel Corporation (during 2006 & 2007), Senior Quality & Reliability Engineer with Technology Development, Intel Corporation (2008-2010). He is currently an Assistant Professor and the Head of the credit-hours Communication Systems Engineering Program at Ain Shams University (since 2010). He was the recipient of the Walter P. Murphy Fellowship from Northwestern University, Evanston, IL, USA (2005) and the Guest Graduate Student Fellowship from Argonne National Laboratory, Argonne, IL, USA (2007). He has thirteen published papers in refereed international conferences and journals and four patents pending. He served as a technical reviewer for TVLSI, MEJ, DAC, ICCAD, ISCAS, and ICM. He was an IEEE student member (2000-2008) and is an IEEE member (since 2009).
